Who am I
Saturday, 7th October - Saturday, 4th November 2023
Mon- Sat 9am - 5pm
Closed on Sunday
Who am I? An unfathomable question that Isabelle Derigo has patiently explored since childhood.
For the first time, Isabelle engages in a dialogue with her intimate observations of herself, juxtaposing two series of photographs from 2014 and 2019 that unveil her naked truth. Five years later, in 2023, she also unveils a new introspective journey.

Having explored various artistic mediums in her practice, she now engages in the game of Vanities.
In 2014 Moi-Femme, the artist reveals her vulnerability and her journey towards embodying ephemeral femininity.
In 2019 Alive Memory, Isabelle Derigo experiences the timeless love between the artist and her partner through aged photographs projected into the future.
In 2023 Discover 'The Vanities, Isabelle breathes new life into forgotten works. She respectfully integrates her logo, a skull constructed from her body in seven different positions, as a symbol of generational succession, ensuring these artworks continue to transcend time.
"What pleases me is to navigate the murky waters between consciousness and the body. I lose myself and find myself. I am the same but always different. I eternally advance toward an infinity that increasingly surpasses me and, at the same time, soothes me."

In Isabelle Derigo’s work, red high-heeled shoes and a beige raincoat symbolize archetypal elements of femininity, while specific contexts are woven around these portrayals.
Her portraits are akin to windows, providing a unique glimpse into the depths of her inner world. Isabelle invites you to join her in this visual journey, much like a curious voyeur, using the intimate illumination she's thoughtfully provided.
